Metropolis Recording Studios Tour

Metropolis Recording Studios tour will start at Powell Tuck Associates Studio - (6 Stamford Brook Rd). Following the visit to the Studio we will offer a short, guided tour of the area followed by a visit to the Old Power House where Metropolis Recording Studios are located.

The visitors will be invited to have a look around the Studios, where some of the most important artists of all time have recorded and mixed albums including Queen, Michael Jackson, U2, Lady GaGa, Amy Winehouse,, Adele, Rihanna and many more.

Designers Adrian Lees and Angus Shepherd will take you on an architectural tour around the building whilst Metropolis team will give you some information on the current use.
The Power Station was designed by William Curtis Green and built in 1901 to power the first stretch of tramway in West London. The building was remodelled by Powell Tuck Associates and completed in 1990.

The PTA Studio is located in a private courtyard, linked with two contemporary houses both designed by PTA. The courtyard used to be the stables for the London General Omnibus Company, the original Identity can still be read in the old cobbles and bricks.

Visitors will receive a complimentary book "After Metropolis: The Architecture and Design of Powell Tuck Associates".
Refreshments will also be provided.
