Musicity London

Founded in 2010 by DJ and BBC broadcaster Nick Luscombe, Musicity invites recording artists to compose tracks in response to buildings and locations in cities around the world. With our unique digital and live event programme we aim to support and promote new music, and to transform the experience of listening to it - to help people explore cities and to experience architecture and the urban environment in new and unexpected ways.

To date Musicity Global has commissioned more than 50 pieces of music and spoken word pieces from a diverse selection of artists including Ghostpoet, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Hannah Peel, Gabriel Prokofiev, Throwing Shade, Moses Boyd, Stick in the Wheel and others.

In June 2018 Musicity will return to Southwark working with a variety of established and emerging music and sound-art creators, (including The Memory Band, Lossy, Chisara Agor, Sooski, Shamus Dark, Langham Research Centre and Hatis Noit), each responding to iconic pieces of architecture at seven locations in and around Bermondsey, London Bridge, Bankside and Elephant and Castle.

All tracks are available to stream for free via logging in to our website on your smartphone.
