Parallel is half immersive theatre, and half a tour of London’s buildings, streets and history.
(Things that are Parallel are side by side and have the same distance continuously between them.)
(Thing that are Parallel occur or exist at the same time or in a similar way; are corresponding.)
Parallel is a play. A play about identities. About the little things that make up our city, our world, our existence – and who we are. About the difficulty in joining the dots. About how to know what is real – and what is not.
Parallel is a tour of London. It is a London that most will recognise. Some things may surprise you. You may discover some things that you struggle to believe are true.
“We’re always looking for links, ways to make things fit into our narratives. That’s the beauty of stories, they help us find truth whilst not being true themselves.”
You’ll be part of a very small group. You’ll meet somewhere around London Liverpool Street station. You’ll be led. You’ll explore. You might need to assist. You might need to discover.
Parallel is about belonging where you are – or not being in the right place.
After all, “Fiction is the lie through which we tell the truth.”
Running Time: c.90mins. You’ll be walking for most of that time
Parallel will run on June 2nd, 3rd, 7th, 8th, 15th, 16th and 17th, at various times: See Eventbrite page.
