The Building Blocks of the Future

Curious about how architects make place? Interested in testing architects' ideas for yourself? Join WTA to change the world and make a new one.
This year we are opening our doors to the future makers of the city: the children. As firm believers in the importance of sustainable architecture, we believe architecture should be accessible to all.
We would like to welcome children and their parents to our office on Saturday the 16th June to take part in a free activity around the theme of modular construction. Each child can build his/her own personalised modular block using modular laser cut plywood panels that can be assembled in different ways. Each panel will have windows and doors cut out, helping the children better visualize their personalized house. They will make 2 modules: 1 to take home and 1 to add to an invented place. By the end of the morning we hope to create our own mini neighbourhood! Support from our staff will be provided throughout the whole morning.
