Open Studio – LSI Architects

The Layering of Identity

Once part of London’s industrial heartland Clerkenwell’s identity has transformed significantly over the years. In the past, Clerkenwell was a centre for breweries, distilleries and the printing industry and most famously in the watchmaking and jewellery trades and diamond cutting workshops. Many of the buildings in the area are now home to some of the UK’s leading design agencies and architectural practices.

To celebrate the London Festival of Architecture 2018, the team at LSI Architects would like to invite you to our brand new office in the heart of Clerkenwell to explore the layering of identity onto the historic urban fabric of the Clerkenwell area.

Please join us for a sketching masterclass as we look to capture the Clerkenwell area and some of it’s recognisable landmarks from a unique roof top view, courtesy of our neighbours Alea.

Following on from our successful collaboration with RIBA Schools workshops we will also be providing a drop in surgery for any students seeking advice and guidance to pursue a career in Architecture.

The studio will be open from 4pm-7pm on Friday the 1st of June, so please join us for some food and drink, sketching and informal networking.
