NLA houses a unique 1:2000 scale model of central London that shows its development past, present and future. Via an inbuilt Ipad visitors to our galleries can control light projections that uncover the many layers of London’s built environment. We can use this information to understand more about the city’s many boundaries whether physical or conceptual. In this workshop learn about how urban designers are using data like this to shape the future of the city. We will introduce you to Sketch Up and help you create your own designs for an installation that examines different types of city boundaries – from borough lines to post-codes, barriers to paths.
