You’re never too young to enjoy architecture – workshops tours and activities for families and young people

Libraries are key to the social infrastructure of our city, key intergenerational spaces of belonging in our city. This collections invite the Festival community to re-engage with these crucial hubs and rethink their role during June and beyond.

From tours discovering hidden green spaces in the city to workshops unpacking land justice, ecologies and non-human belonging, these activities unpack how nature fits into and makes us rethink our built environment and emphasises the importance of access to nature for all.

From workshops providing new skills or chance to experience an area through new eyes to mentoring sessions and screenings empowering the next generation of inclusive creatives, these activities provide a chance to participate with those in the room and leave with something to bring home – whether ideas or inventions.

The Festival is great moment to explore the people, places and projects shaping our city – whether exploring an area for the first time, or rediscovering a familiar space with a new invitation.
