Afterparti presents its manifesto and explains the work it’s doing to realise the inclusive and transdisciplinary future it envisions for architecture.
‘Manifestos: Architecture for a New Generation’ is an annual collaboration between London Festival of Architecture and the Design Museum, highlighting work by an emerging generation of voices in architecture who are expanding the parameters of what architecture can be, who London is for and what its future holds.
Afterparti is a fresh-thinking architecture-infused collective that explores big ideas around contemporary urban space through the lenses of identity and race.
Afterparti were nominated by Joseph Henry, Senior Project Officer in the Greater London Authority in the Regeneration team. He is also an associate lecturer at Central Saint Martins and an ambassador of the London School of Architecture.
"Afterparti collective contribute and provide a platform for socially intelligent and urgent ideas about our urban space. Their agenda of critical thinking about race and identity that has been missing in contemporary architectural discourse. They are vital voices for London."
