BB12. BREAKING BOUNDARIES. CULTURAL EDGE – HAVE YOU GOT IT?

Rob Shakespeare, Principal Curator Keats House describes his experience of breaking down social boundaries and access to culture, and what this might mean about changing our perceptions of ourselves and each other. Keats House, owned by Corporation of London, is in its 200th anniversary celebrations and the museum has developed a host of programmes including a new entrance access and identity with Paul Vick architects for its 30,000 visitors.

Paul Vick, Founder Paul Vick architects, drafted the British Museum spaceplan for the next 50-100yrs ago prior to setting up Paul Vick architects and will describe some of the background to the British Museum, the issues and projects that have fallen out of this work including the re-use of the Round Reading Room, Lighting and Special Exhibitions and more recently announced redefinition of the Western Galleries.
