All day workshop and walking tour exploring issues of resistance, negotiation and race in North Kensington.
This workshop invites participants to explore how acts of resistance and negotiation are fundamental to imagining cities in common for people with lived experience of displacement, migration and exile. In collaboration with Thomas Aquilina (Afterparti), participants will explore the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea in a collective walk and reflective session through the specific lens proposed by the workshop theme.
This is day 2 of a 3-day series of action-based workshops organised by ASF-UK in collaboration with Woman, Life, Freedom Collective, Resolve Collective and Thomas Aquilina (Afterparti). Centred around the themes of subversion, dissent, space and power, the workshops ask how are acts of resistance and negotiation creating spaces of common ground for people with lived experience of displacement, migration and exile in London today?
The workshops will generate spaces for reflection on participants' own practices and experiences of living in London, and ask what more could be done to support spaces of common ground in the city.
See below for details on the other two workshops.
£20.00 per person ASF-UK will be offering a limited number of concessionary places at a reduced fee of £10.00 per person for low/ no income.
