London’s Roman Amphitheatre

Hailed as one of the most important archaeological discoveries in London for over a century when it was announced in 1988 - this short talk by Dr Andrew Lane examines the excavation, conservation and form of London's Roman Amphitheatre, and questions its significance within the city of Londinium. This is a pre-recorded talk that will be premiered at 11.00am on Saturday 27th June but will continue to be available afterwards.
