OKR Design Challenge

Action OKR will be following last year's popular OKR Design Challenge with an even bigger, better weekend of workshops, walks, talks, exhibitions and events. Come and participate in some creative responses to the massive regeneration planned for South London's Old Kent Road.

We'll be using fun and accessible ways to engage with the proposed large-scale redevelopment of the Old Kent Road, as well as building another of our mega-models. We'll be looking at some of the physical, social, and political boundaries that have arisen since the neighbourhood became a regeneration 'Opportunity Area' and exploring how public engagement might bridge boundaries between community, council and developer.

Teams of urban design professionals will be on hand to work with local residents, businesses and other interested members of the public to develop creative responses to some of the Old Kent Road's key contested sites.

Come and make models, celebrate the Old Kent Road, and imagine the future. Tell us what you love or hate about the neighbourhood and what you would (and wouldn't) like to see happen. How might current plans affect your everyday life? And, most importantly, how should your everyday life be shaping those plans?
