Reimagining Urban Landscapes – Image Ordering/Sequencing Workshop

21 June 2024

16:00 -19:00

Reimagining urban landscapes that currently exist alongside their respective architectures requires us to interrogate multi-faceted representations of places and our relations to architecture. This can be done by acknowledging what previously existed in particular urban landscapes, witnessing what is there today and reimagining what could potentially exist in these spaces in the future.

Activating the idea of Reimagining through an image ordering and sequencing workshop, this session will highlight different approaches to the organising of visual materials which are rarely explored in visual art literature. Whether it is a photography project, zine, report, short film, or research project, the ordering and sequencing of images is an essential process that requires reflexive thought and meticulous consideration.

In this workshop, we will explore how we can reimagine built environments via an image ordering and sequencing workshop, where you will be asked to bring in and engage with a series of architectural-orientated photographs.

This will be a drop-in workshop session, where you may bring your own photographs to sequence and reimagine urban landscapes. Alternatively, you can use a selection of photographs that will be available on site.
