Seats at the Table explores the intersection between sustainability, accessibility and participation through a table as a place for bringing people together, sharing, making, learning, nourishment and socialising. Over the first 6 months of 2023, Re-Fabricate, the DisOrdinary Architecture Project and a series of artists have been working with diverse schools across east London co-design 6 chairs that cater for different accessibility requirements and enable equal places at the table.
Join us on the 2nd June for the launch event at Postman Park to hear from those leading and participating in the project, and partake in this vital dialogue around how equity, accessibility and inclusion can truly be achieved in the public realm.
The event is open to the public and includes refreshments. Bring your own cup for drinks and bowl for snacks!
This event is supported by the Arts Council.
