Tiny plot, big impact

A limited footprint is no barrier to architectural creativity - in fact, working at a small scale offers architects the freedom to experiment and take creative risks without the weighty responsibility of a large budget or complex functional requirements. Jonathan Mizzi from Mizzi Studio will discuss how the practice has reimagined the seemingly unpretentious kiosk in two recent projects for Westfield and across ten sites in London’s Royal Parks. From the leafy setting of the Serpentine Coffee House, he will talk about how to create playful architecture that has the capacity to inspire, surprise and delight far beyond its modest scale.
