The LFA2026 Report

The LFA2026 Report is here: see the Festival’s impact across London and beyond

The London Festival of Architecture 2026 once again saw the city transform into a platform for celebration, conversation, challenge and change. At a time when London faces growing inequality, isolation and rapid urban change, LFA created a rare city-wide platform where residents, professionals, artists and decision-makers could collectively question, challenge and reimagine better futures for our city and neighbourhoods.

Under the theme of #Belonging, we engaged over 850,000 people through our programme of 400 activities in 27 London boroughs, highlighting LFA as a truly city-wide celebration of London’s places and voices. The programme brought together 231 lead organisers and 138+ collaborators, with 56% of organisers coming from outside the built environment sector.

The theme of Belonging resonated deeply throughout the Festival, and the months leading up to it, and reminded us of the urgency to unpack difficult questions, such as: who is welcome in our city? Who feels safe? Who gets to belong — and who decides this? And what role does the built environment sector play in creating places that are truly healthy, inclusive and safe for all.
